Living on the lake, I always considered using a nautical theme in my guest bathroom. I haven’t taken the plunge yet, however on a recent shopping trip I couldn’t help but notice accent piececs made of driftwood & metals adorned with shells, rope, fish net, and shiny pearls. Now it is a serious thought 🙂
What theme do you have in your bathroom and how do you know when the decor and accessories are too much? Shower curtain, bath towels, rugs, night lights, wall hangings, and candles, so much to choose from and then of course you have to consider the wall and trim color.
Picking up a few pieces here and there, it is evident the small guest bathroom can only absorb light colors with accent pieces containing hints of seafoam green and ocean blue. Simple hand towels, night light and rug is plenty.
I do want to share with you some of the coolest of cool things I have found like this WINOMO Nautical steering wheel. If you love sailing you totally need this and it comes in color choices.
Hamptons handcrafted wood triple anchor set with a rustic finish are 7″ tall and as cute as can be.
Collections etc offers this 3 piece bath towel set with a navy border, embroidered nautical icons and satin ribbon.
Other faves I fell in love with while shopping; the towel holder with anchors as the end pieces and the giant sailboat shower curtain. The candle holder with ocean cut glass. The lighthouse nightlight, with matching towels.
Oh my, now it is just time to go to the beach. Decorating the guest bath will have to come later.
